AccessScan ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- URLs you scan: We collect the website URLs you submit for scanning in order to perform the accessibility analysis.
- Payment information: When you purchase a report, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe may collect your email address and billing information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Email address: If provided during checkout, we may use your email to deliver your report and for transactional communications.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: We may collect basic analytics such as pages visited and features used. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
- Scan results: The results of your accessibility scans are generated and delivered to you. We may retain anonymized, aggregated scan data for service improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To perform accessibility scans on the URLs you provide
- To generate and deliver your reports
- To process payments
- To send transactional emails (report delivery, receipts)
- To improve and maintain the Service
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
3. Data Retention
Scan results and reports are retained for 90 days to allow you to re-access them. After this period, they are automatically deleted. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.
4. Data Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Stripe: For payment processing
- Anthropic: Scan data (URLs and page content) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI-powered fix suggestions. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting providers: Our infrastructure providers (Vercel, Supabase) may process data as part of hosting the Service
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure API key management, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of any marketing communications

7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
